How much does graffiti removal cost?
Graffiti removal costs £150 to £400 for a typical tag on an ordinary surface, £400 to £1,500 for a large piece or porous stone, and £15 to £40 a square metre for anti-graffiti coating. Most firms have a minimum charge of £150 to £250.

Photograph it and report it before you clean it. Councils remove graffiti from their own property free and will often act on private walls visible from the street, and racist or threatening graffiti is a police matter, so the free route and the evidence both disappear the moment the wall is washed.
What moves the price
- The surface. Painted metal and glass release paint; brick, render and stone hold it and need a poultice.
- How long it has been there, because paint keeps curing and bonding for weeks.
- Size, and whether it is one tag or a covered wall.
- Access and height, which on a gable or a bridge is most of the cost.
- Whether the building is listed, which changes both the method and the consent needed.
- Coating afterwards, and whether it is sacrificial or permanent.
Questions about graffiti removal
What about scratched or etched glass?
That is damage rather than dirt and no cleaning removes it. Shallow marks polish out; anything deeper is replacement.
Is an anti-graffiti coating worth it?
On a wall that gets hit repeatedly, yes, and a permanent coating pays back over several removals. On a wall hit once it is money spent on the wrong thing.
