How much does hoarder cleaning cost?

Nobody can see the back of a full room from the doorway, and a company that prices the first room, reports what it found and then prices the rest is telling you the truth about what it knows, where a single confident number for the whole house is telling you the opposite.
What moves the price
- Volume, measured by what leaves rather than by floor area.
- How much sorting is wanted, which is the slow part and the valuable one.
- Disposal. Skip hire, tip charges and anything that cannot go as general waste.
- Access. Stairs, a narrow hall or no parking multiply the handling.
- Contamination, sharps or food waste, which change the protective equipment and the route the waste takes.
- Whether cleaning and sanitising afterwards is inside the quote.

It is separated for recycling, donation and disposal, and the disposal goes through a registered waste carrier with a transfer note. Ask to see both.
Will the floor underneath need work?
Often. Long-term covering traps moisture, and carpets, and sometimes the boards, come up as part of the job. It is worth agreeing before the first day whether that is inside the quote.
