How much does kitchen extract cleaning cost?
Kitchen extract cleaning costs £250 to £600 for a small takeaway system and £600 to £1,500 for a restaurant. Access panels are £40 to £90 each fitted, and a canopy and filter clean without the ductwork is £150 to £350.

What moves the price
- System size, measured by canopy length and the run of duct behind it.
- Whether ductwork is included or only the visible end of the system.
- Access panels, and how many have to be cut in before the duct can be reached.
- What is cooked. Heavy frying deposits far faster than a grill line.
- How long since the last clean, since hardened grease takes longer to remove.
- Overnight and closed-day working, which is when it has to happen.
Questions about kitchen extract cleaning
Why is the ductwork extra?
Because it is a different job. Filters and canopies are reached from the kitchen; duct is reached through access panels and sometimes from the roof, and where there are no panels they have to be cut in first.
Can it be done without closing?
It is done outside service, usually overnight or on a closed day, and the system has to be cold. That is why the trade works the hours it does and why those hours are in the price.
