How much does hospitality cleaning cost?
Pub and restaurant cleaning costs £40 to £90 a visit for a daily front of house clean, or £18 to £26 an hour. A deep clean is £400 to £1,200 and stripping the floor behind the bar is £150 to £400.

Put the periodic jobs in the contract with a month against each. Floor stripping, cellar deep cleans and the kitchen are the ones that get deferred because nothing looks wrong on the day they are due, and they are also the three that cost the most to recover once a year has gone by.
What moves the price
- Site size, and how much of it is public floor.
- The window between closing and opening, and how unsociable it is.
- Whether an evening toilet check is wanted as well as a morning clean.
- The cellar, and where the boundary with the cellar service falls.
- Kitchen deep cleaning, which is periodic rather than daily.
- How many days a week, since a seven-day site prices differently from five.
Questions about hospitality cleaning
What about the kitchen?
Day-to-day kitchen cleaning is usually the kitchen brigade's. A contractor is brought in for periodic deep cleans behind and under equipment, and the extract ductwork is a different specialist trade again.
Why does the floor behind the bar need stripping?
Because what is on it is sugar rather than dirt. It dries to a film, a mop redistributes it, and only a strip takes it back to the surface. Most sites need it a few times a year.
