How much does window cleaning cost?
Window cleaning costs £10 to £18 a visit for a terraced house, £14 to £25 for a semi-detached and £20 to £45 for a detached house, on a four to six weekly round. A conservatory roof is £40 to £90 and is nearly always priced separately.

Ask to join a round rather than buying single cleans. It is cheaper per visit, the interval keeps the glass from ever getting badly soiled, and a cleaner with a settled round in your street is far more likely to still be cleaning it in three years.
What moves the price
- How many windows there are, which is what the cleaner actually counts rather than the number of bedrooms.
- Height and access. Anything a pole cannot reach easily, or a back garden that has to be gone round the block to reach, adds time.
- Whether frames and sills are included, which is the commonest difference between two similar-looking quotes.
- Whether it is a round or a one-off. A single visit typically costs half again as much.
- Conservatories and lanterns, which are separate work with separate equipment.
- Location. Coastal and roadside properties soil faster and sometimes need a shorter interval rather than a higher price.
