Carpet work in very hard water needs the rinse treated, or the calcium stays in the fibre as it dries and leaves a residue that attracts soil faster afterwards. It is invisible on the day and shows up as a carpet that greys sooner than it should.
A company that raises water treatment before being asked has thought about the job past the machine. One that answers a question about it with the temperature of the water has not.
